This privacy policy applies to the following mobile applications developed by Romeu Beato:

• Scale Master Guitar
• Ear N Play
• Guitar Progression Generator
• Polyrhythmic Metronome

These apps were previously distributed under the RiffRoutine brand. The developer, privacy practices, and data handling remain the same.

The short version

The mobile apps are designed offline-first. They do not collect personal data, do not track your location, do not access your contacts, and do not record audio. All data stays on your device.

Information we collect

Mobile apps

The mobile apps themselves do not collect any personal information. They work entirely on your device without requiring an internet connection. Specifically:

• No personal data is collected or transmitted
• No analytics or tracking is embedded in the apps
• No location, contacts, microphone, or camera access is required
• All settings and progress are stored locally on your device

If you interact with this website (romeubeato.com), we may collect:

• Email address — when you subscribe to the newsletter, sign up for a challenge, or contact us
• Payment information — processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details
• Anonymous analytics — via Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal data

Subscription data

If you subscribe to a Pro or Elite tier through the App Store or Google Play, subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes anonymised subscription data (purchase dates, subscription status, platform). It does not receive your name, email, or other personal information from the apps.

How we use your information

• To provide and improve the apps and services
• To process subscriptions and deliver digital products
• To respond to support requests
• To send you emails you signed up for (challenge, newsletter)

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — app distribution and payment processing
• RevenueCat — subscription management (anonymised data only)
• Stripe — web payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Brevo — email service (brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy)
• Plausible Analytics — privacy-first website analytics, no cookies (plausible.io/data-policy)

Data retention

Since the mobile apps do not collect data, there is nothing to retain. For the web platform: email addresses are kept as long as you are subscribed (unsubscribe via the link in any email). Payment records are kept as required by Portuguese tax law.

Children's privacy

The apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since the apps do not collect personal data, this applies primarily to any email or payment information associated with the web platform. Email us and we will handle it within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the apps after changes constitutes acceptance.
